Seniors Ministry

"Wisdom is with the aged,  with long life is understanding."

Job 12:12

Paul wrote to Timothy, a spiritual convert, disciple, and representative of the Apostle Paul's when sent to the church at Ephesus, "Do not sharply rebuke an older man, but rather appeal to him as a father...[and] to older women as mothers... (1 Tim. 5:1-2). The respect of older people is so important that learning it is to start in the home by honoring our parents. A church's senior citizens are a rich wealth of experience and wisdom. We believe they should be respected and honored and treated as spiritual parents. Widow's indeed (those who have  no family to care for them) should be seen as family that should be cared for (1 Tim. 5:3-8).  We value our seniors!

Our Seniors ministry includes not only having many of our seniors running key ministries, but also having ministry which they lead that provides a monthly senior's breakfast at a local cafe, a game night at the church kitchen/gym with food of course, an awesome Christmas party with the other adults, and sometimes trips to museums, plays, etc.  Like our other ministries (children, youth, women's, men's, etc.) our seniors are an intricate part of many of our ministries.
